Movie Review: The day after tomorrow
Sun, 30th May 2004 at 11:00 am Allen said; I saw the movie the day it came out (Thursday 27th May). I'd have to say that for its genre, it's passable. I have yet to see a movie of its genre to provide viewers any compelling emotional attachment or even signs of knee-jerk reaction to the sense of loss, hardship or plain sympathy to characters who dies or close to dying. Why? because the main character of the story is the natural disaster, human beings are supporting actors.
As a survival natural-disaster movie, I'd give it 6/10, but as a movie on its own right, i'd give it 3/10
